Since 2004, The Barbarians Rugby Charitable Trust has been on a mission to spread the power of rugby union around the world, reaching existing and new communities to help people play, enjoy and benefit from the game.

The Trust was established to support worthy causes and the development of rugby union for people of all ages, genders and backgrounds, and regularly identifies organisations and projects to support that embodies this ethos.

In particular, The Barbarians Rugby Charitable Trust is committed to teaching  values such as leadership, teamwork and friendship to disadvantaged young adults and children. As a result, the Trust has donated funds to other charities and not-for- profit organisations, both in the UK and overseas, touching the lives of people in Brazil, Malawi and South Africa among many others.

Throughout the UK, the Trust has made grants available to a children’s cancer charity, a schools’ charity and several charities supporting players of all ages injured while playing the game.

The Trust is open to receiving new grant applications and will consider each one on its merits without prejudice.
