Gavin Roger Todd Baird

Gavin Roger Todd Baird was born in Kelso on 12 April 1960 and educated at Merchiston Castle School. He worked as a grain merchant in the Scottish Borders. Between 1981 and 1988 Roger Baird played on the wing for Scotland in 27 internationals. In 1983 he toured with the British Isles to New Zealand, scoring six tries in 11 matches, including the four tests. He was a member of the Kelso club. He was selected for the Barbarians in the cancelled fixture against Australia in 1982.
