Peter John Ford

Peter John Ford was born in Gloucester on 2 May 1932 and educated at Gloucester Central Modern School. He worked in the wholesale fruit business. Playing at wing-forward, he was a mainstay of the Gloucester club and county packs and also played for the Western Counties against Australia in 1957, South Africa in 1960 and New Zealand in 1963. Peter Ford belatedly won four caps for England in 1964 and later became an England selector.
