Jason Leonard

Jason Leonard was born in Barking on 14 August 1968 and educated at Warren Comprehensive School in Essex. He was a self-employed builder and played at prop for Saracens and Harlequins. His 114 internationals for England between 1990 and 2004 set a new world record for caps.He toured on three occasions with the British Isles to New Zealand (1993), South Africa (1997) and Australia (2001), playing in a total of 23 matches including five tests. On the 1997 tour he captained the Lions against Eastern Province, Emerging Springboks, and Northern Free State. In 2008/09 he was a member of the Barbarian Football Club committee.
