Colin Stewart Patterson

Colin Stewart Patterson was born in Belfast on 3 March 1955 and educated at the Royal Belfast Academic Institute and Bristol University. He was a solicitor and played at scrum-half for Bristol and, chiefly, Instonians. He also played for Ulster against New Zealand in 1978. Between 1978 and 1980 he scored five tries in 11 internationals for Ireland. In 1980 he toured South Africa with the British Isles and scored one try in 10 appearances, including three tests.
